Welcome to our 4th grade blog! 

I want to thank you for providing us the delicious lunch on Wednesday, October 7th. 

Last Friday, we divided the students into their Community Building Groups.  

Here is each teacher’s focus:

  • Ms. Kathy- Art Appreciation
  • Ms. Laurel- Brain Exploration- Critical Thinking
  • Mr. Barry- Community Building
  • Mr. C.J.- Exercising Right Brain Thinking
  • Ms. Teresa- In the Science Lab 

What we will be learning this week?

  • Reading/S.S.- test preparation, main idea, latitude and longitude, making posters about the four regions of California, introduction to Native Americans in California
  • Language Arts- Long -a sound spelled with a-e and ai.  New list- Long -a sound spelled ei, cursive -e
  • Math- multiplying two digit numbers by two digit numbers, long division, creating a survey, making a bar graph
  • Science- making a temporary magnet, conductors and insulators

Important Dates to Remember:

  • Wednesday, October 28th- Field Trip to Ardenwood Farm
  • Friday, October 30th- End of 1st Quarter
  • Saturday, October 31st- Walk-A-Thon
  • Monday, November 2nd-5th- Standardized Testing
  • Friday, November 6th- No School (Staff Development)
